What Inks is

Inks is a private letter-writing and journaling app for iOS.

Write to yourself or to someone else. When a letter is finished, it first becomes content saved on your device. Sharing is a separate choice: you decide whether, when, and with whom to share it.

When you reopen a letter, Inks shows the finished words first. If you want to see how they came together, start Replay to revisit the pauses, deletions, and rewrites preserved with the letter.

What you can do

Write a letter with text, photos, drawings, stickers, stationery, and fonts.
Save first, share only if you choose. No recipient is required, and finishing a letter does not send it.
Read the result or revisit the process. Everyday reading stays simple; replay is there when you want it.
Take the whole letter with you. Export an .mbx file for another device with Inks. If the letter has no access protection, you can also export images, PDF, video, or Live Photo.
Protect private content with App Lock, password protection, and eligible question, time, or location rules.

Privacy in practice

Inks does not ask for broader access in the name of convenience:

It processes only the photos you select; it does not scan your photo library.
Face ID and Touch ID are verified locally by iOS. We never receive your face or fingerprint data.
Letter content is excluded from analytics events.
Sharing happens only when you initiate it.
